FAQs

Q?

What’s the parking situation like?

A.

We don't have a lot available for customer parking, though there are other options. Taking a quick right after passing the shop will put you on a street that usually has street parking. If you still have trouble, park in the Westchester Mall's parking lot and we'll gladly validate the ticket for you!

Q?

So, can I just walk in and get an awesome new tattoo? What is the appointment situation like?

A.

That depends. If what you're looking to get done is on the smaller side and won't require a large block of time, you may be able to get it done as a walk in. Things that require a custom drawing to be done or a long tattoo session will be scheduled for an appointment at your earliest convenience! You must come in person to make an appointment, sorry - no appointments can be made over the phone. A cash deposit will be taken for most pieces at the artist's discretion. All cancellations must come at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Failure to do so will result in the loss of deposit. Your deposit is intended to secure your appointment and your drawing will be prepared in the time between your consultation and your appointment!

Q?

Can I bring my own design?

A.

Yes, you can - but not everything will translate well to a tattoo. Bring what you've got in and chat with an artist and they'll be able to work your ideas into your next new piece!

Q?

Do you accept credit cards?

A.

Sure do! We'll gladly take cash and credit/debit cards. Sorry, no checks, money orders or wampum...you can keep that shit.

Q?

The minute you finish this incredible new tattoo, I’m planning to go directly to the beach and spend hours in the sun & water. That’s cool, right?

A.

Not so much. Unfortunately, in order to give your tattoo the very best chance to heal properly, you MUST stay out of water and avoid excessive sun for 2-3 weeks. Failure to do this can result in permanent damage to your beautiful new piece!

Q?

If I say its okay and will sign the waiver, can my 14 year old son/daughter get a tattoo?

A.

Unfortunately, no. State law dictates that no person under the age of 18 with state identification may be tattooed. Let the little guy/gal wait a few years - they've got PLENTY of time to ink up!

Q?

There are a number of things you can do to prepare for your session. Follow the guidelines below:

A.

  • You should always eat a good meal and be well-nourished before a tattoo appointment.
  • Make sure you're hydrated and well-rested. The better shape your body is in, the better it will take the pain!
  • Avoid excessive sun leading up to your appointment. If your skin is peeling it can't be inked!
  • Avoid alcohol and blood thinnning medications leading up to your appointment.
  • Be sure your personal hygiene is in order.
  • Be sure to bring state-issued photo identification!

Q?

Can I have a few drinks or something to “take the edge off” before my tattoo?

A.

No, you shouldn't drink alcohol or take drugs for pain relief purposes prior to your tattoo session. Both aspirin and alcohol thin blood and promote excessive bleeding. Aspirin also decreases the clotting of blood, which will slow down healing.

Q?

Yeah, but…do they REALLY hurt?

A.

That depends on a variety of factors, too. The placement of a tattoo will directly affect how painful it can be and one's own tolerance of pain also plays a part. The length of the session and style of the tattoo also play a part. For the most part, it isn't so bad. Some people even ENJOY the feeling, truthfully. It is very rare to have someone not be able to take the pain and finish the session, so don't worry!

Q?

Do tattoos hurt?

A.

Yes.

Q?

How much does a tattoo cost?

A.

That depends on a variety of factors, including size, detail, placement & more. Come on in during our business hours to discuss your piece with an artist and an estimate can be provided.
